Hard to believe we’ve stepped into Q4 of 2025 already. The year’s flown by, hasn’t it? Just the other day, I was with the Boardroom, a group of relational leaders and small business owners who are all busy building their version of special. We spent time debriefing the past quarter, and something powerful rose to the surface—how much execution improves when joyful accountability is in the mix. Now, you’ve probably heard this stat before, but it bears repeating. The American Institute of Training found that simply setting a goal gives you about a 10% chance of hitting it. Not great odds. But write that goal down, craft a plan, share it with someone, and meet with them weekly—and your chance of success skyrockets to 95%. That’s the difference accountability makes. And in our group, we saw it firsthand. (Check out the video for more, or read on below...) Some folks hit their “miraculous” goals, the ones that seemed out of reach. Others reached their baselines. But everyone agreed: Joyful accountability was the single biggest driver of progress. So let me ask you—what does joyful accountability look like in your world? Who’s holding you capable of building your version of special? Think about the next 12 weeks. What’s one goal worth chasing before the year ends? Write it down. Make a plan. Share it with someone you trust. Meet weekly to review and refine. That single practice could be the difference between coasting into the holidays or finishing the year strong. Because here’s the truth—you’re the average of the five people you spend the most intentional time with. If those people are focused, driven, and committed to growth, that energy rubs off on you. So, who are you surrounding yourself with? Who’s keeping you aligned, motivated, and encouraged? Take a moment to make that list. Then invite those people into your process. A simple weekly check-in. A quick call. A standing meeting. You’ll be amazed at how small, consistent touches of accountability compound into meaningful results. Each of you has something truly special inside your business. Don’t let the year slip by without bringing it forward. Surround yourself with joyful accountability and see just how far you can go before 2025 comes to a close. Hope this helps, PS: If you’re not already plugged into a group that gives you that kind of joyful accountability, let me know. I’d love to connect you with some options that can help you finish the year strong. Whenever you're ready, there are 2 ways I can help you:

Hey there, relational leaders. I want to share a quick story about one of my coaching clients. Chances are, if you’re reading this, you’re a small business owner or a commission-based professional. And like many of us, the relationships that lead to referrals — the kind that drive your results — really matter to you. It’s not always easy. That’s why I like to share real success stories from clients who are doing it well. This one’s about a client named Ben. Ben’s in the mortgage industry, and...

The American Society for Training and Development did a study that caught my attention. Here’s what they found: simply setting a goal gives you about a 10% chance of accomplishing it. Ten percent! Think about that. Most of us...
Most business owners think they need more leads. But what they really need is more referrals. And referrals flow out of relationships. That’s where gratitude comes in. Let me tell you about Dan. Dan’s part of The Boardroom, and not long ago, he shared a story that stopped us in our tracks. He had been looking for ways to grow his business. Like most entrepreneurs, he thought about prospecting, marketing, and getting his message out. But instead of doubling down on “selling, selling, selling,”...
